Rank Realm is built on a simple principle: your rankings are yours. This policy explains, in plain terms, what data the app collects. The short version is none — but read on for the full picture, including the few places where a third party (like Apple or GitHub) is necessarily involved.
We collect zero data
Rank Realm does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, usage data, behavioral data, or device identifiers, in any form, for any purpose. There is no analytics software in the app, no advertising SDK, no tracking pixel, and no server of ours that your activity is ever sent to. We built the app this way on purpose, not as a default we forgot to change.
No account required
Rank Realm does not require you to create an account or sign in to use any part of the app. There is no name, email address, or password to give us, because there is nothing to register for.
Where your content lives
Your tier lists, the items you add, and any images you use in them are stored locally on your device. We never see them, and we have no way to access them.
On-device AI generation
When you generate a tier list from a written description, that request is processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device intelligence. Your description and the resulting tier list are never sent to us, and never leave your device as part of this feature.
Templates, hosted on GitHub
The pre-built templates available in Rank Realm are hosted in a public GitHub repository. When you browse or download a template, your device connects directly to GitHub's servers to fetch it. That connection is a standard internet request between your device and GitHub, so GitHub (or its infrastructure providers) may see routine technical information such as your IP address, the same way any website or file host would. We do not receive, log, or have access to that information ourselves — it never passes through anything we operate.
Exporting and sharing
When you export or share a finished tier list, you choose the destination yourself, whether that's a message, a social app, or your photo library. This happens through Apple's standard share tools. Rank Realm does not keep a copy and does not see where it goes once you send it.
Purchases
The optional Pro upgrade is handled entirely through Apple's App Store and In-App Purchase system. Your payment details are managed by Apple under Apple's own privacy practices. We never receive or store your payment information.
No analytics, no crash reporting, from us
We do not use any analytics or crash-reporting service in Rank Realm. If your device is configured to automatically share crash and usage data with Apple, that sharing is governed by your iOS, iPadOS, macOS, or visionOS settings and by Apple's own privacy policy, not by us, and you can turn it off at any time in your device settings.
Available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision
Rank Realm runs natively on iPhone and iPad, and is also available on Mac and Apple Vision Pro as apps designed for iPad. This privacy policy applies identically across every platform Rank Realm runs on — the zero-data-collection approach doesn't change by device.
Children's privacy
Rank Realm is not directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no data from anyone, this holds true regardless of the age of the person using it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Rank Realm after a change means you accept the updated policy.
